If you wish to come see us from Giglio Porto, take the road to Giglio Castello. Once you get to the Monticello fork road, take to the right and follow the Spiaggia Arenella (Arenella beach) direction.
The nearest airports to Giglio are in Rome, Florence, and Pisa.

If you drive from South (Rome),
take the A12 highway to Civitavecchia. From here, take the SS1 (Strada Statale Aurelia) to Orbetello. From here follow directions to Porto S.Stefano/Isola del Giglio.
If you travel by train from South (Rome),
take a Roma-Torino train. Get off at Orbetello-Monte Argentario (not all trains stop there, so make sure you choose a train that stops at Orbetello). From the Orbetello-Monte Argentario station a bus will take you to Porto S. Stefano in about 20 minutes. At Porto S.Stefano, get off at the stop in front of the ferries area.
If you drive from North-West (Turin),
take the A11/A12 highway to Pisa-Livorno. Exit at Rossignano and take the Aurelia SS 1 state highway (4 lane) towards Rome. Drive past Grosseto for 34 km to Albinia. Exit there and follow directions to Porto S. Stefano/Isola del Giglio. In Porto S. Stefano there are many daily ferries to Giglio.
If you travel by train from North West (Turin),
take a train from Genova to Rome and get off at Grosseto. Here get a local train to Orbetello/Monte Argentario. Some trains from Genova to Rome will take you directly to Orbetello (so you don’t have to change trains in Grosseto). From Orbetello a bus will take you to Porto S. Stefano in about 20 minutes. At Porto S.Stefano, get off at the stop in front of the ferries area.
If you drive from North (Milan),
take the A1 highway to Rome and exit at Firenze-Certosa. Here, take the state road to Siena. From here, follow directions to Grosseto. Once you get to the Grosseto ring-road, follow directions to Rome (4 lane SS 1 Aurelia). At Albinia, 34 km from Grosseto, follow directions to Porto S. Stefano/Isola del Giglio.
As an alternative, when driving south from Milan (A1 highway to Rome), you can exit just before Parma and take the A15 highway to la Spezia. From here take the A12 highway to Livorno - Rossignano Marittimo. Exit a Rossignano M. and take the SS1 Aurelia to Rome (4 lane). Exit at Albinia (34 km after Grosseto) and follow directions to Porto S. Stefano/Isola del Giglio.
If you travel by train from North (Milan),
take a train from Milan to Rome. Get off at Firenze (S. Maria Novella station). From here you can either a) take a Firenze-Orbetello train via Pisa, which is faster – if a little bit longer - as there are many trains from Pisa, on the Genoa-Rome line (see above) or b) you can take a Firenze-Orbetello train via Siena-Monte Antico (“Freccia dell’Argentario” i.e: Arrow of the Argentario). It will take a little bit longer, as it is a local train which stops at each station, but the view of the landscape is beautiful, plus, you don’t have to change trains.
